I know there's a lot more that unites our community than divides us. That’s why I put East County priorities ahead of politics.

As a dad and grandfather, I’m committed to making our community more affordable so our kids can afford to live here. I’m particularly concerned about the cost of living. Rent and mortgage payments are skyrocketing for everyone. That’s why I voted to build more affordable housing fast and get more people into shelters because everyone deserves a safe place to sleep. I also took on predatory debt collectors to protect Oregonians’ money so they can afford to live and thrive in our community.

As a former police officer, I spent over a decade keeping our neighborhoods safe. As your State Senator, I passed a law that reduced catalytic converter thefts in Gresham by 80%. I also led the charge to crack down on illegal street racing. I’m proud to have earned the endorsement of the Oregon State Police Officers Association. I will always work to make sure law enforcement has the tools they need to keep all our families and our community safe.

As a former teacher, I fight for our kids, educators, and public schools. Every kid deserves access to a quality education. That’s why I supported extraordinary investments in East County classrooms and increased funding for early literacy and summer learning programs. I will continue to stand up for our classrooms to make sure every Oregon kid is set up for success.​
